Herzelieb is a larger version of the Bambino doll the Käthe Kruse designed in the 1920s as a doll for doll-mothers to sew for. This doll comes with a reprint of Puppen Schneiderei (Dolls Dressmaking), a 1920s sewing book with patterns designed for Käthe Kruse dolls. The patterns in the reprint are scaled for the 10″ Herzelieb doll. There are patterns for 28+ different articles of clothing.
The doll’s head has been lovingly hand painted at the Käthe Kruse workshop in Donauwörth, Germany. The hair is is in a dutch bob so the doll can be a boy or a girl. The body has a wire armature for easy posing. Limited to 20 dolls.
